Cambodia 2019: World Challenge meeting.

Following a successful 2017 World Challenge Cambodia Immersion, ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ is proud to announce we will be sending another team to Cambodia at the end of November 2019. This trip is open to current Year 8 and Year 9 students who are interested in a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Year 9 Empower - The Calling

​Last Thursday night and Friday morning, Year 9 students as part of the Year 9 EMPOWER Program ‘The Rite Journey’, undertook a significant ceremony called ‘The Calling.’ It was an overnight gender-based experience in which students started their Rite of Passage and looked into the adult they wish to be.

Effie Pryer, IWD breakfast guest

Effie Pryer is a young artist who has been painting and exhibiting for a number of years in Hobart. Effie’s family mo​ved to Hobart when she was three, and she enrolled at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ in Year 4 when her mother started work next door at GYC. She always loved painting and expressive arts, from an early age, and Art classes at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ in Years 7-10 were what she looked forward to

Year 9 - the Abyss

​Over Monday–Wednesday of the last week of term 4, Year 9 students participated in their final challenge as part of The Rite Journey – our Year 9 EMPOWER Program. Students were only allowed to take with them on their overnight camp a booklet filled with reflective questions and thought-provoking stories, a dream catcher kit and their guidebooks.
