Hall of Achievement 2022

In our annual Years 6-10 Awards ceremony we recognise the achievements of our students with subject awards and special awards for commitment to Academic, Mission, Creative Arts and Sports goals. We also induct two special old scholars into the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Hall of Achievement, recognising their achievements post-school. In our 2022 induction on Wednesday 23 November 2022 we inducted Ms Kate Smith and Doctor Samuel Dixinto the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Hall of Achievement.

It has now become an annual tradition for two old scholars to be inducted into the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Hall of Achievement and in 2021 the College celebrated the contributions of Dr Tim Tenbensel (1980) to Academia and Sr Mary-Clare Holland OP (1966) to Community Service.

Premiers Reading Challenge

Congratulations to all our Prep to Year 6 students who successfully completed the 2020 Premiers Reading Challenge of 10 books in 10 weeks! Hawthorn Football Club State Manager, Mr. David Cox, and Hawka, the Hawthorn Football Club mascot, visited ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ to present prizes for completed Reading Challenges.

This event is a fun way for students and teachers to engage with their library and explore the reasons why libraries play an important role within their communities as well as encouraging everyone to celebrate their love of libraries, reading and literature.

Putting Boundaries in Place to Support Learning and Teaching at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ

The phenomenal growth of technology and its role in education for 21st century teaching and learning, has been very extraordinary. ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ has a philosophy that technology has enabled learning ‘anywhere and anytime’. Our Year 5-10 Laptop program has embraced this context. However, the exponential explosion of technology is also very challenging.

Asian Festival

What a wonderful week we have had in Kindergarten to Year 6, immersing ourselves in learning of various countries and people of Asia. Students made passports, and have been collecting stamps for their passports as they have participated in their learning journey.

Tasmanian Japanese Speech Contest 2019

​On Tuesday 22 October, 29 wonderful students of Japanese participated in the annual Tasmanian Japanese Speech Contest with over 300 students from over 30 schools around the state.
