Mr Matthew Stolp, ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ old scholar, Class of 1989, has been announced by ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Principal, Ms Beth Gilligan, as the special guest speaker at the 2020 ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ International Men's Day breakfast on Tuesday 10 November commencing at 7am.

Science Week in Prep

​National Science Week was a big event this year in Prep. The theme for 2020 was ‘Deep Blue: Innovation for the Future of our Oceans’. Science Week gives us the opportunity to increase our engagement and understanding of ocean science. We live on an island and our oceans are ever-present around us. Australia’s vast oceans are a source of constant fascination for our students and it was absolutely wonderful to learn more about the importance of our oceans and the amazing animals that live there.

TALKING HEADS 2020

​TALKING HEADS is an ongoing performance project for our Year 9/10 Drama students. In spite of COVID-19 restrictions preventing us from performing for parents, friends, and the wider school community, we are able to present the project for student audiences. On 10 and 11 September , selected classes from electives in Years 9 and 10 will comprise the audience for TALKING HEADS, 2020. This will be the ninth year the project has been presented.

DOSA celebrates wins in Snowy's milestone game

Old scholar, Brendan "Snowy" Loveless, Class of 1990, played game number 417 for DOSA and became the Old Scholars Football Association games record-holder, eclipsing University's Bill Trethewie. Bill was able to attend and presented Brendan with a special DOSA jumper with the number 417 on the back, in which Snowy played the game.

Prep - Year 10 Assembly

​At ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ we love our gatherings and we were delighted to hold a Prep-Year 10 Assembly on Wednesday 5 August, the first since February. Our theme for this Assembly was ‘Belonging to and Creating ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Community’ where we shared our students’ accomplishments with their peers.

Premiers Reading Challenge

Congratulations to all our Prep to Year 6 students who successfully completed the 2020 Premiers Reading Challenge of 10 books in 10 weeks! Hawthorn Football Club State Manager, Mr. David Cox, and Hawka, the Hawthorn Football Club mascot, visited ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ to present prizes for completed Reading Challenges.
