Congratulations to our K-6 students!
We enjoyed an entertaining and reflective assembly on Wednesday 15 June, efficiently managed and hosted by our Year 6 captains.
4B presented a lovely 'Pay it forward' prayer, and, after the national Anthem, 1B led the whole assembly in a rousing Japanese language 'Elephant Song' - which was also watched by Ms Kumashiro and her language class from our languages area above the Savio Centre.
Many students received awards, and were individually recognised for their positive attitude and their commitment to learning, by their teachers and the whole assembly applauded.
We were entertained by some lovely ukelele performed by the Red DUCK (Dominic Ukulele Cool Kids), and an excellent presentation (and song) about our Vinnies Appeal by Year 2, who had some posters and a specially written song to encourage us to give.
Ms Hewitt recognised and awarded Merit Certificates to a large number of worthy students for excellent work, and College Principal, Ms Gilligan, spoke to the assembly about the importance of patient listening and focus, and commended and recommended the charity work undertaken by classes: giving generously is part of our spirit of community, and makes us better people inside, too!
What a great assembly! You can see some photos on our website gallery: .
