In the recent term break, I was privileged to participate in the Cagliero project, a two week immersion program to explore the work of the Salesians in Cambodia and experience Cambodian life.
The majority of our time we spent in Phnom Penh, at the highly-regarded Don Bosco Technical School, where students learn a wide variety of specialised skills and trades.
Their study and class time is broken up by sports, particularly volleyball, basketball and soccer, which the students play with great passion and joy.
Thank you to Shaun Panayi and RH Sports
I was able to help these students by bringing with me a significant donation of basketballs, volleyballs, footballs and sports equipment from Shaun Panayi and RH Sports, thanks to Mr Cameron Golding’s intercession.
RHS has nearly 40 years experience as a leading supplier of sports equipment and apparel to schools, clubs and other organisations in Australia and were very happy to help ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ and our Cambodian student friends by donating some sports equipment.
While I struggled to fit these donations into my luggage allowance, the Cambodian students were delighted.
Student and immersionists alike were humbled by the generosity of RH Sports, and from a personal perspective it was wonderful to be able to be a part of bringing so much joy to so many people!
My sincere gratitude to Cameron Golding, Shaun Panayi and RH Sports for their kindness and generosity.
