On Friday 31 August, the College hosted our School Re-registration visit by the Office of Education Registration (OER). The OER team comprised Dr Jill Abel, Mr Lynden Leppard and Mr Michael Moore.
During their visit, the team undertook a partial tour of facilities and enjoyed seeing the developments in the College since 2014 including the new Creative Arts precinct of Fra Angelico and The Oratory Space.
They also visited the Animal Husbandry Centre and wanted to see the Chapel. The team enjoyed meeting students along the way who were engaged in their learning and spoke with confidence about their studies.
Feedback to ƵƬ on Standards of Excellence
Throughout the visit, the School Re-registration team conveyed significant commendation to the College on our thorough evidence for and documentation of the Tasmania School Standards and the exemplar approach the College is taking towards all of our practices. There was high praise extended for a genuine and obvious commitment to continuous improvement in all facets of school life.
The team noted what “a pleasure it was to read the documents” and departed from the College wishing the College well in the next stage of our development.
I would like to extend our appreciation to the Director of School Registration, Mrs Selina Kinne for her outstanding work and the Dominic Registration Team comprising Mr Stephen Casni, Mr Dylan Chivers and Mr Andrew Pritchard, who together with Selina and myself managed this process effectively. We expect notification of full registration for the maximum period.
