Students were reminded by Mr Davey at the 7-10 assembly today (Friday 16 October) that this was the last 7-10 assembly for the year!
There would be a 7-9 assembly (after the Year 10s had left) and there would be our College's Awards assembly, attended by K-10 students, where our special prizes are given to our best students. But, Mr Davey felt this underlined how quickly now the outstanding Year 10 group were heading to their graduation.
The assembly reinforced the variety of opportunities at the College. Students spoke of the upcoming House Photography Competition, the competition at the SSATIS Carnival, the wonderful experiences of Year 9 students on their Central Australian immersion trip, the cultural adventures of the Year 10 students in Japan, Mr Mackie presented some exhilirating Adventure Recreation movies of his action-packed student activities, and Mr Davey recapped the AFL Best and Fairest Awards.
Deputy Principal Mrs Janine O'Hea reminded students of the importance of keeping their work and behaviour at the highest level in the short time now left till the end of the year.
Recalling these good times from the end of Term 3 and during the Term break encouraged all at the assembly to a most spirited rendition of the School Song!
