On Thursday 2 November, 650 000 students around Australia celebrated music together, through Music Count Us In. Our Kinder to Year 1 students sang their hearts out at school, whilst our Year 2-6 students travelled to Bellerive Boardwalk with 1000 other students, from 7 other schools, to take part in the Hobart Music Count Us In event.
Students were entertained with a concert from 11.00, where participating schools performed a variety of items. The DUCK Club, the 3/4 Choir and the senior band all featured strongly in this. The culmination of the event was at 12.30, where all the students sang the program song for this year ‘Shine Together’, accompanied by the combined concert bands of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ, Rose Bay High School and Clarence High School. At the same time 3000 other schools around Australia were all singing the same song at the same time.
This is the fourth year that the Hobart event has taken place, and Dominic students again were outstanding with their participation and enthusiasm. All the students should be congratulated.
