Music and Dance Showcase coming up
On Tuesday evening 12 September, ƵƬ’s Music and Dance Showcase Evening will be held at the Don Bosco Creative Arts Centre, Guilford Young College.
This is a new event on the Dominic calendar and will provide an opportunity to present some of the larger scale Music and Dance works students have developed this year.
A centrepiece will be a performance of the Year 9/10 Dance piece, “Wait for me” which was a joint winner in the Southern Tasmanian Dance Eisteddfod. Delightful performances from our School Choirs and Bands will also be featured.
Performance is a vital component in the delivery of Teaching and Learning in the development of our students in the Creative Arts.
Selected individuals will be performing, plus the following groups: Senior Choir; Year 5/6 Choir; Year 8 Dance; 9/10 Dance; Concert Band; Year 9/10 Rock Band and the Primary Band.
I warmly invite you to bring your family and friends, and come along to what will be a wonderful evening, showcasing the talented students of Music and Dance at ƵƬ.
