Huge last day House competition

On Friday 16 December, the final day of Term 4 2016, students will have assemblies, clean-up and an Advent Mass in the morning.

Our Year 7-9 Student Representative Council, have designed an afternoon event and all students from Years 5-9 will be involved in a large game of House v House ‘Flags.’

‘Flags’ is a strategic game, which requires teamwork, planning, as well as aerobic fitness and speed. The aim is to enter into another House’s area and capture their Flag.

The game will be played on the Dominic Ovals for the afternoon block.

Standard Flags involves tagging opposing teams in your area to catch them. For our final Flags day, this method of catching students will still be applicable. We are also adding the option to be tagged out via Water Balloon.

We hope this element not only adds another skill to the game, but will make it more enjoyable.

Information for Students:

  • This is a FREE Dress day, but we ask students wear their HOUSE-coloured top for the afternoon events.
  • Students are asked for a Gold Coin donation to support the purchase of 1000+ water balloons.
  • Students may wish to bring a towel and potentially a change of clothes if they get very wet.

We hope that this can become an annual event and a great opportunity for students from Years 5-9 to work in Houses teams, get fit and have fun.
