Over 300 students, families and staff participated in the Don Bosco Bicentenary Family Feast Day on Sunday 17 May.
Mass in the Savio Centre commemorated the life of St John Bosco, founder of the Salesians of Don Bosco and one of the patron saints of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ.
The community enjoyed sausages and fruit for lunch and enjoyed entertainment provided by a GYC jazz band led by old scholar, Josh "Drumsticks" Cannan.
Games on the oval proceeded in beautiful sunshine, and were characterised by great fun as parents joined in enthusiastically. Frisbees flew, neck-ball too. Tyres rolled, and blindfold. It was very poetic!
Some students demonstrated the famous Mr Davey's ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ "Cha Cha Shuffle" and we tried to take a photo of everyone at the end in the shape of a 200 with mixed results!
