On Friday 18 May we had eight students from Year 8 push through a demanding day of academic challenges participating in the Da Vinci Decathlon.
The Da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of students who compete in teams of eight across 10 different disciplines, with particular emphasis on higher order thinking skills, problem solving and creativity.
Their teamwork and impressive performance earned them first place in Cartography and second place in Mathematics. This was an excellent achievement for a beginner team.
Congratulations to our Da Vinci stars!
Best of luck to our Year 10 students, as they embark on the same journey and compete next week.
