Art and photography from a large number of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ students was on display at the Hobart Show this week in the YouthArt exhibition.
Students work was awarded prizes and certificates in a number of categories, including Year 7/8 art where Alyssa Haremza won second place, and Libby Fry third. Chloe Bayliss achieved third place in the 9/10 art and in 'Photography - open colour print' first place was won by Joseph Howlett.
Highly commended awards included Ashley Cano, Denae Wiggins, Amelia Mundy-Hill, Connor Murray, Chloe Reynolds, Shiona Kondo, Laura Whittaker, Hayley Prestage, Sean Wong and Emma Jackson.
Prizes were awarded by MP the Hon Scott Bacon, who commended students on the quality of the work. Teachers, too, were congratulated on the enthusiasm of the students, with entry numnbers increasing each year.
A number of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ students attended, many with their families. Art teacher, Ms Audrey Durbridge was pleased for her students, and delighted to meet their families again. Ms Durbridge enjoyed both the quality of the work displayed and the opportunity to see new work from other schools and colleges.
ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Principal, Ms Beth Gilligan, said the event was an important opportunity for creative arts students to display their work publicly.
