Our scheduled 7-10 assembly on Wednesday 2 March was an engaging blend organised by Mrs Fraser and Mr Davey.
Ms Gilligan said how pleased she was with each year level - the spirit and effort of students during this important start to the year, and the way they have helped new students join in, was especially rewarding. Mrs Fraser congratulated students on their academic progress, and their commitment to their learning, drawing attention to the way students get their educational materials from their lockers even before the bell for class, so they arrive in time and ready for work.
Our Year 10 leaders are beginning to settle in to their roles - our captains led the assembly with panache, and two of our academic captains, Kate Jones and Gabbi Kidane, talked to students about how to focus and set goals to get homework done, and improve their study skills.
Our creative arts captains also presented to the assembly, speaking of the variety of creative activities to look forward to this year, including monologathon performance Talking Heads and the important Creative Arts Festival, a highlight each two years, presenting not only a superb ensemble of our senior drama students, but a terrific opportunity for all students to participate with art, music, dance, sculpture and media displays.
Get involved with the many opportunities at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ, urged Mr Davey.
