Over 500 students enjoyed the annual ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Year 3/4 Sports Day on Friday 11 September 2015, playing netball, football, soccer and tee ball. Students in Years 3 and 4 from Catholic primary schools participated, including Holy Rosary School, St Therese's, St Brigid's, St Paul's, and St John's as well as ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ.
The beautiful spring weather highlighted the attractiveness and expanse of our College's sports fields and faciltiies. Although over well over 500 students and officials particpated in over a dozen simultaneous games, the ovals and courts never seemed crowded.
The day was a huge success in promoting new friendships, sportsmanship, friendly competition, skill development and participation. ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ Year 9 students enjoyed making the event possible by umpiring and refereeing, and they organised teams and equipment on the day. We thank these wonderful students for their support.
All participants enjoyed a nice sausage and drink after their matches were completed. Thank you to all the parents and teaching staff who looked after the teams and helped on the bbq, your support of this day is truly wonderful and we could not do this without you.
ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ noted that students from all the schools were great participants in the event – enthusiastic, cooperative and displayed terrific sportsmanship. Well done to all participants for representing your school so well.
