About 40 boys and girls from Year 10 1972 at Savio and Holy Name celebrated 50 years in style on Saturday 1 October 2022 with a comprehensive suite of activities.
Thanks to the organising committee we had a large numbers of old scholars attending including several interstate visitors and one from Canada!
Those who left in Year 10 did not necessarily experience co-education as coed matric classes were more the norm in Years 11 and 12. A number of the Year 10 Holy Name girls were able to meet at GYC before the reunion for a walk down (around) memory lane thank you to a current GYC staff member who opened up some of the buildings for them.
In the same way the Savio boys enjoyed an in depth tour of the old classrooms and haunts from their school days when the boarders were still prominent and many classes were still taught by priests.
All enjoyed a wonderful catch up upstairs in the White House - with refreshments and photos - and thank you to DOSA's Ms Diane Cerritelli for assisting in hosting the afternoon. Special mention to Tony Fox who assembled a video presentation of old photos which ran in the Basil Fox Room. The evening after party was also a great success - thanks Wendy and Tony.
